Financial Controller

Simpson Marine is the Asia-Pacific yacht dealership and brokerage firm, wholly owned by the Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo. It is looking for a Financial Controller to join the finance team at its Hong Kong headquarters, reporting to the CFO.

The role:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing for the local legal entities in Hong Kong and across the region
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in line with group accounting policies and IFRS or local GAAP
• Submit accurate and timely financial data to the parent company in Italy for group consolidation
• Act as the main contact between the regional finance team and the Italian headquarters on reporting, forecasting and consolidation
• Work with local finance teams, auditors and external advisers to meet accounting and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Support improvement and automation of consolidation, reporting and management control processes
• Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support strategic decisions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including audit (preferably with a Big Four firm)
• Hands-on experience in a group subsidiary reporting to a structured international group
• Strong understanding of consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations and reporting packages
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience reporting to the C-suite
• Extensive experience in treasury and financial management
• Experience with complex financial processes and multi-entity structures
• Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting and performance monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for cross-border work
• Fluent English; Italian a strong plus
