Draftsman (Mechanical Engineering)

Heesen Yachts, a builder of high-quality yachts, is looking for a Draftsman to join its Mechanical Engineering Department in Oss. The role links the departments involved in the technical development of each yacht, covering the systems that are essential but not seen.

The role:

• Work with the Project Leader and the Planner on the technical completion of the yacht, including ventilation and heating systems, hydraulic installations and sanitary facilities
• Draw the plumbing system, piping scheme and routing from the design plan
• Draw panels and other components and lay out the technical spaces
• Use AutoCAD together with specialist 2D and 3D drawing packages
• Check that technical drawings are correct and that designs meet industry standards
• Make sure suppliers have the materials they need in time and deliver to specification
• Connect Engineering, Production and suppliers so the build runs efficiently

• MBO or HBO level education
• Experience with AutoCAD and 2D/3D drawing packages
• Passion for technology and high-quality shipbuilding
