Deck Equipment Design Engineer

Sunreef Yachts is looking for a Deck Equipment Design Engineer to join its team in Gdańsk, Poland. The role covers the design and selection of deck equipment for yachts, with technical documentation prepared to Classification Society rules.

The role:

• Develop design solutions and select deck equipment
• Create and supervise 3D and 2D technical documentation (classification, workshop and procurement) in line with Classification Society rules and contractual requirements
• Analyse production non-conformities and improve design processes for productivity, cost and compliance with design assumptions
• Coordinate with Classification Society representatives, suppliers and subcontractors, including project and interdepartmental meetings
• Report on project progress and design issues

• Experience designing steel structures and equipment for ships or yachts, including prototype elements
• Knowledge of strength of materials, kinematic system design and metal processing technologies (stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium)
• Proficiency in 2D classification documentation for ships or yachts, including reviewing and supervising other engineers' technical and workshop design work
• Knowledge of welding technologies and quality requirements for the design and certification of steel structures
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar software)
• Strong communication skills and English at B2/C1 minimum
• Nice to have: ability to perform FEM calculations
