NAV-COM Systems Designer

Sunreef Yachts is looking for a NAV-COM Systems Designer to join its team in Gdańsk, Poland. The role covers the design of navigation, communication, IT and electrical systems for superyachts, from selecting solutions through to supervision during construction.

The role:

• Design NAV-COM systems, IT and intelligent control (Domotic) systems and general ship electrical systems for superyachts
• Coordinate technical matters with clients and system suppliers
• Select technical solutions and materials, and prepare bills of materials and RFQs
• Verify documentation of ordered systems and coordinate it with other yacht systems
• Prepare technical documentation, descriptions and automation I/O lists
• Provide design supervision during yacht construction and take part in tests, trials and inspections when required
• Prepare as-built documentation and user manuals

• Higher technical education (Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Marine Systems or similar)
• Experience as an independent designer of marine NAV-COM and other ship electrical systems
• Knowledge of marine navigation and communication equipment and other ship electrical systems
• Knowledge of PLC/HMI-based control systems
• Experience selecting components for NAV-COM and other ship electrical systems
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD, EPLAN and MS Office
• Good command of English
