Junior Material Planning Engineer

Sunreef Yachts is looking for a Junior Material Planning Engineer to join its shipyard in Ras Al-Khaimah. You will support the planning and coordination of materials across several yacht construction projects, working closely with the Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams.

The role:

• Plan and manage material requirements based on project schedules and engineering deliverables
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation to suppliers, and compare quotations with the engineering and procurement teams
• Raise and submit purchase requests in line with project needs
• Track orders to keep deliveries on time and flag potential delays
• Keep structured records of BOMs, RFQs, POs and supplier communications
• Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages or inconsistencies
• Coordinate with the Systems, Mechanical and Production teams and help resolve supply chain issues
• Contribute to improving internal material planning and tracking processes

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1–2 years of experience in material planning, procurement or supply chain
• Experience in the marine or yacht industry is highly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data handling, tracking, basic analysis)
• Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
• Strong organisational skills and a structured, follow-up-driven approach
