Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Sunreef Yachts is looking for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join its production team in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role drives continuous improvement on the production floor, reducing waste and improving efficiency using Lean methods.

The role:

• Analyse current manufacturing processes and find improvements using tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and Kanban
• Reduce waste and increase efficiency across production
• Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis sessions
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Work with operators and production managers to resolve bottlenecks
• Define and monitor KPIs such as cycle time, OEE, first pass yield and defect rates
• Train and coach employees in Lean methods
• Work with engineering, quality and supply chain teams, and identify Industry 4.0 opportunities such as digital work instructions and real-time data analytics

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement role
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred) and Kaizen methodologies
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and PLM/PDM systems
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or IATF 16949, and a background in automotive, aerospace or marine manufacturing
• Optional: AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar design tools
