Bosun

Seven Seas Recruitment is advertising for a 75m+ new-build Lürssen motor yacht currently on a world-cruising programme. The yacht needs an experienced Bosun to join the deck department from 1 November.

The role:

• Organise and supervise the deck department day to day, working closely with the senior officers
• Carry out deck maintenance and painting, with the post roughly 80% deck-based and 20% administrative
• Coordinate and guide junior deck crew
• Help plan and carry out daily operations
• Relieve the Third Officer when required
• Contribute to the wider team, with a genuine interest in fishing, diving and water-sports

• Valid OOW 3000 ticket in hand
• Previous experience as a Bosun or in a similarly senior deck position preferred
• Strong practical knowledge of deck maintenance, painting and general yacht operations
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Experience or qualifications in fishing, diving or water-sports advantageous
• Non-smokers only; visible tattoos considered at the Captain's discretion
