Captain & Chef/Stew Couple Team (Oyster 565)

A private, family-owned Oyster 565 is looking for an experienced and personable crew couple to join as captain and chef/stew on a long-term basis. The yacht is based in the Mediterranean with seasonal cruising including the Caribbean, and is used only by the owners, their family and friends. The start date is September 2026, and only couples should apply.

The role:

• Captain or mate: run the yacht day to day, sail her and keep her maintained
• Work closely with the owners and their family while keeping a relaxed guest experience
• Stew or cook: look after guest hospitality, housekeeping and meal preparation
• Prepare healthy, fresh family-style meals, including vegetarian options
• Keep guest areas to a high standard
• Help on deck with docking, lines and fenders
• Operate the tenders and help family members around anchorages

• Captain or mate: Yachtmaster Offshore minimum, with strong sailing experience and confidence in vessel maintenance and operations
• Stew or cook: experience in hospitality, housekeeping and family-style cooking
• Powerboat Level 2 preferred
• STCW and ENG1
• Non-smoking and non-vaping
• Divemaster qualification or diving experience highly desirable
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Chefs should include a food portfolio with their application
