Captain/Engineer and Mate/Cook Couple for Oyster 575

Oyster Yachts is looking for an experienced Captain/Engineer and Mate/Cook couple to run an Oyster 575 from January 2027. The team will take over for the final leg of the 2026 Oyster World Rally and the programme that follows. Two positions are available.

The role:

• Take over the yacht from the outgoing Captain, with a careful handover in Brazil
• Sail the yacht to Antigua for the rally finish in April 2027
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the yacht in remote locations
• Sail alongside an owner who enjoys passagemaking and takes an active part in the watch rota
• Support possible plans after the rally, including the Marion to Bermuda Race, summer family cruising on the US East Coast and in Maine, and a Caribbean winter in 2028
• Work as a self-sufficient crew able to sail and maintain the yacht confidently

• Captain/Engineer: RYA Yachtmaster Ocean or substantial ocean-passage experience
• Captain/Engineer: strong engineering skills for problem solving in remote locations
• Mate/Cook: valid RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and excellent sailing experience
• Valid B1/B2 visas for cruising in US waters for both crew members
• Up-to-date STCW and ENG1 certificates for both crew members
• Couples are preferred
