Captain (Oyster 595)

Oyster Yachts is looking for an experienced Captain for a privately owned Oyster 595 based in Montenegro, starting in October. The post is listed as permanent.

The yacht is signed up to the Oyster World Rally 2028, and a Captain/Chef couple team is planned to be hired in Spring 2027. The Captain joins initially on their own, and the role could suit someone hoping to move into that longer-term couple position with a chef partner.

The role:

• Oversee the yacht through the winter period, taking sole responsibility for her
• Manage maintenance works
• Make sure the vessel is fully prepared and well looked after ahead of the next season
• Run day-to-day operations without additional crew onboard
• Liaise with the owner, who will visit from time to time during the winter

• Yachtmaster Offshore as a minimum
• Previous sailing yacht command experience
• Strong technical and maintenance knowledge
• Comfortable working independently and taking sole responsibility for the yacht
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Valid STCW and ENG1
