4th Engineer

Wilsonhalligan is recruiting a hands-on 4th Engineer for a world-cruising 100m+ private motor yacht. The role starts around the end of November and the location is not disclosed.

The role:

• Join the engineering team on a world-cruising private motor yacht
• Carry out engineering duties with sound electrical knowledge and fault-finding
• Use planned maintenance systems, ideally IDEA
• Support fabrication, fitting or machining work where needed
• Assist other departments when required

• $4,500–$5,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience, paid year-round
• Flexible rotation of approximately 4 months on and 2 months off

• Engine Room Watch Rating certificate (STCW III/4)
• Seagoing engineering experience; commercial backgrounds welcome
• Sound electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills
• Experience with planned maintenance systems, ideally IDEA
• Experience in fabrication, fitting or machining valued
• Valid seafarer medical, STCW, Designated Security Duties and Crowd Management certificates
• Valid B1/B2 visa
• Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to assist other departments
