Private Yacht Chef

Oyster Yachts is looking for a yacht chef to join a crew of four aboard a world-cruising Oyster 885, starting in December in Gibraltar. The role is a permanent position, listed under Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The yacht crosses the Atlantic in January, heads for the Panama Canal and then continues into the Pacific, with Indonesia and possibly Japan to follow. The owners join the yacht periodically and expect a polished level of service when on board.

The role:

• Provide consistently high standards of food and service for the owners and guests
• Support an ambitious transatlantic and Pacific cruising programme
• Work as part of a close-knit crew of four
• Cook with the practical mindset needed for long-range sailing
• Share a bunk cabin with a female crew member

• ENG1
• Level 2 Hygiene
• Established professional or restaurant chef background
• Previous chef experience on sailing yachts, ideally at least two seasons
• Happy to share a bunk cabin with a female crew member
• Strong, verifiable references
