Training Centre Manager

Galway Bay Sailing Club is looking for a Training Centre Manager for its Irish Sailing accredited Training Centre at Renville, Oranmore, Galway. The centre runs sailing and kayak courses for adults and juniors in the summer months. The post is part-time and fixed term, with hours weighted towards the summer and April to October the busiest period.

The role:

• Organise and run adult and junior training courses and manage the club's training facilities and equipment
• Act as the Irish Sailing Association Centre Principal and carry out the associated duties
• Develop and maintain an effective training system in support of the club's plans and objectives
• Grow the centre's offering, including new programmes and a training season longer than the current two months
• Market the courses, manage bookings and oversee daily operation of the centre
• Work with the RC Training to recruit and onboard instructors and set up a development programme for future seasons
• Coordinate safety management and make sure the necessary support equipment is available
• Keep the centre compliant with Irish Sailing standards and keep all required records up to date
